When you're strolling in your garden gazing at the flowers,
Remember those who have to spend the long and weary hours,
Shut away from nature, trees and birds and good fresh air,
They cannot walk in gardens but our gardens we can share,
By taking something of the glowing glory to their rooms,
A bright and beautiful bouquet of all our choicest blooms,
Flowers bring life into a place and leave a blessing there,
The breath of God is mingled with their fragrance of the air.
Beauty lifts the mind. A sing posy can express,
A message that conveys a thought of hope and happiness.
Remember them. They cannot walk in green and rosy bowers,
That we to them can bring the consolation of flowers.
