May tomorrow find me at the door,
To welcome whatsoever lies in store,
The worst, the best, joy, sorrow, loss or gain,
Blessings or blows, the sunshine or the rain.
May tomorrow find me wide awake,
Prepared for any road that I must take,
Never let me shrink from its demand,
But with warm heart and willing hand,
Tackle the task whatever it may be,
Bearing another's burden cheerfully,
Ready to do Life's bidding with a smile,
And, if need be, to go the second mile.
