Tuesday is the second day of the week,
Uncle Frank is feeling somewhat weak,
He had made a trip to Mumbai,
There was a cyclone and the waves were high,
Uncle Frank's son in law's mother passed away,
She was always happy and gay,
The Lord called her all of a sudden,
She was to no one a burden,
When the Lord calls you have to go,
Thats the only way to go,
We are all sad and upset,
Our son in law is most beset.

Today is Tuesday,
Its been a rainy day,
The sun is not to be seen,
But the grass is still green,
Uncle Frank has been away for over a week,
He had to go to Mumbai,
As his son in law's mother took ill,
She did not survive,
We are all grieving over this sudden loss,
Now she is buried in a grave covered with moss,
The good Lord has called her back,
While on earth there was nothing she did lack,
Now she has left us all woe begone,
Now all we do is sigh and moan.

This can happen only in India. People take the law into their own hands.
A woman had an affair with a married man. His wife came to know about it. She along with a group of other women accosted the woman. They kicked her, punched her and pulled her hair. The beating was so severe that the woman succumbed to her injuries. The law is yet to take its own course.

Today a black bear strayed out of Manas National park and attacked a man. The irate villagers chased the bear and mercilessly beat it to death. Uncle Frank is sad at this event.

What a glorious day it has been,
Plenty of sunshine has been seen,
The day has gone off well for uncle Frank,
He put off for tomorrow his visit to the bank,
Sunday has always been a day of rest,
He spent the day after his return from church in a pair of shorts and a vest,
Uncle Frank spent sometime in his garden,
Tending to the plants, shrubs and flowers and trees as well,
The weather today was simply swell,
The perfume from the flowers was heady,
But all the same uncle Frank's head was steady,
He did some weeding even though it was his day of rest,
And got rid of many a garden pest,
The weather all through the day was extremely fine,
At dinner time uncle Frank had a sip of wine.

Its a brand new day,
The sun is out and shining,
On Sunday uncle Frank believes in outside dining,
He has his breakfast, lunch and dinner out,
His wife also has some respite from daily cooking,
She and uncle Frank dress in their Sunday best,
He is always ahead of the rest,
He has passed every test,
Sunday is also a day of rest for him,
In church he always sings a hymn,
He spends his time in prayer,
He shows that he cares,

Tomorrow is Sunday the seventh day of the week,
Uncle Frank has a build like Adonis the Greek,
He takes complete rest on a Sunday,
Its also a fun day,

But he always has something to say,

There are many pews,
He pays up his church dues,
The weather should be fine tomorrow,

Tomorrow is Saturday the sixth day of the week,
Uncle Frank always tries to be humble and meek,
The Lord has shown us the Way,
We have to only listen to what He has to say,
He lived on this earth for only three years,
He taught us how to get rid of all our fears,
The Lord is exceedingly great,
With Him in our hearts we don't have to worry about our fate,
He is always ready to take care of us,
He does so without any fuss,
We have to place our utmost trust in Him,
Daily we have to sing to Him a hymn,
We can count on the Lord day in and day out,
He will guard us without a doubt,
He is our helpmate,
He will come to our rescue soon or late.

Today is Friday the fifth day of the week,
Uncle Frank's house roof has developed a leak,
Due to the incessant rain,
It was driving him insane,
Now he has to get a mason to repair the leak,
The leak has made the roof quite weak,
This will all cost a bit of money,
For breakfast uncle Frank had bread and honey,
Fortunately today is a bright clear day,
The repair can be attended to without any delay,
Uncle Frank knows a good mason who's good at his job,
For repairing the leak he will have to pay a few bob,
It does not matter,
If the leak is not set right today the roof may shatter.

Billy's time is up,
By eventide one and all on Billy's flesh will sup,

He hopes he is not doing anything bad.

There is a school in Narampady, Kerala, India,
The school is in a dilapidated condition,
Only the first floor of the new building is ready,
Another floor is to be constructed,
For which a sum of Rs 20 lakhs is required,

Assembly polls have been held in three states in India,
One state is South of the Vindhyas,
And the other two to the North of India,
Something to do with the Raja of Scindia,
Well the people of the respective states voted yesterday,
What a day,
The voter turnout in Maharashtra was poor,
We don't know for sure,
In Harayana and Arunachal Pradesh it was very good,
In a day or two we will know the results,
In all three states the Congress or the ruling Party at the Centre is expected to come to power,
We shall be watching the news hour by hour,

There was young lad who used to tease girls,
He was a regular eve teaser,
So to teach him a lesson that he will will never forget,
He was stripped down to the waist,
And garlanded with shoes round his neck,
What the heck,
He was made to walk all around town,
Like a clown,
And then he was handed over to the police,
The police dispensed instant justice to him,
They thrashed him black and blue and crushed his knee joints,
So that he will remain a cripple for the rest of his life,
We are waiting to see what action will be taken against the police,
They acted with full malice and no remorse,
Action will be taken of course.

I have to catch a train,
How will I get to the station,
I deserve a standing ovation,
I am about to win the Nobel Prize,

My wife is dressed in heather,
She always dresses well,

We are all set to leave,

While there he had a wonderful time there,
He went here and there,
He also took a trip to Mysore to see the Maharaja's palace,
Its a beautiful place,
He visited a bird sanctuary and butterfly park,
And returned back to Coorg before it became dark,
While in Coorg uncle Frank ate plenty of pork,
He mentioned to you'll that a wild boar was shot,
It was quite a size,
It came as a big surprise,
It was cut into many portions and distributed to many coffee estate owners,
As stated at the beginning uncle Frank is now back in Bangalore.

The day is almost done,
Today uncle Frank has had plenty of fun,
He played around in the sun,
Then he had a cup of tea and a bun,
Thereafter he spoke to a nun,
She weighed a ton,
Uncle Frank did not not know where to look,
He always plays by the book,
He was looking around for a tiny snook,
Uncle Frank once met a crook,
He caught him by the collar,
And then all hell broke loose,
Around his neck he tied a noose.

A wild boar was shot yesterday,
It was a good 110kgs in weight,
It was carted off to the shed,
There its blood was shed,
It was a crimson red,
Then the boar was cut and quartered,
And the portions distributed,
To all that mattered,
The pork has been cooked up for a feast,
The boar was a lovely beast,
This is a happy occasion,
For one and all,
Tonight we'll have a ball,

These days it is quite rare,
Uncle Frank has just returned from church,
He went on a search,

Since yesterday he is on a diet of pork,
Chilli pork, pork vindaloo, pork chops,
Pandhi curry, raja pork, suar patel,
Uncle Frank is enjoying himself,
He wishes you could all join him in this feast,
Yesterday his son in law shot the beast,
There nothing more tasty than wild boar curry,
Uncle Frank is not in a hurry.

Uncle Frank's day is done,
The day has been full of fun,
He went along with his son in law round the coffee estate with a gun,
They shot a big wild boar,
It made uncle Frank's heart soar,
The boar weighed a good 110 kgs,
His son in law roared with delight,
But seeing such a solid boar gave uncle Frank the fright,
The boar was immediately chopped up,
It was shared among the neighbouring estate owners,
They would have it for dinner over sun downers,

They are a martial race,

We oldtimers have to give them a hand,
They are just learning how to swim,

Its a great day,

He is a wee bit stout,
But he hasn't got the gout,
He is always in and out,
He keeps himself busy as a bee,

He has drunk life up to the lees,

Today is Sunday,
Its a day of rest,
You have to pass the test,
I went to church,
Found a cosy perch,
I prayed a bit,
But all I did was sit,
The parson almost had a fit,
All the candles on the altar were lit,
The service went off without a hitch,
It was not a question of who, why, or which,
Its time for me to shut down,
My wife is about to frown.

From the 5th to the 9th of June uncle Frank was in the Holy Land,
While there we were guided from place to place by God's Hand,
We visited all the churches and Holy Sites,
We carried with us candle lights,
We were enthralled to walk the way of the Holy Lord,
We prayed together one and all with one accord,
There were 65 of us in our group,
We banded together as one troop,
We had a wonderful time all through our stay in Israel,
At every place we stopped we never failed to ring the church bell.

Uncle Frank just had his lunch,
He had a hunch,
That he would have fish curry and rice and wheat bread for lunch,
He had plenty to munch,
His wife is a good cook,
She doesn't cook by the book,
The food was delicious,
Uncle Frank is not capricious,
He enjoyed the wholesome meal,
His heart was full of zeal,
He praised the Lord that his wife could cook well,
Before lunch and before every meal his wife rings the bell.

Saturday,
It's a glorious day,
It's the Sabboth day for the Jews,
All of them make a beeline for the Wailing Wall,
They pray and pray and pray,
It's the Sabboth Day,
The Jews are one of a kind,
None of them are unkind,
Israel is a beautiful place,
The ladies are dressed in lace,
They are full of grace,
The men are always in a race,
In Israel the men and women are always on the go,
They don't believe in going to the Rodeo,
They all stand united,
One and all are invited.

Today is a bright and sunny day,
All the little children have come out to play,
Boys and girls one and all,
Are really having a ball,
When the sun shines like this,
Everyone is in a state of bliss,
I'm out in the garden watering all the plants,
On a day like this there is no time for ifs, buts and cants,
It's a wonderful day,
It's also a good to take time out to pray,
Right from dawn,
The sun has been shining on and on,
Everyone is full of joy and happiness,
I wish everyone a big God Bless.

The day is almost half way through,
Uncle Frank is feeling quite blue,
He doesn't know what to do,
Will some give him a clue,
He got up from the wrong side of the bed today,
That is why he is wondering what to say,
He has decided to pray,

My computer left me two months back in the lurch,
Hence the internet or my blog I could not search,
Now the situation is back to normal,
